Chromalox Heaters

Immersion Heaters

Chromalox immersion heaters come in a range of designs and are used to heat a number of liquids in your commercial or industrial facility. Choose between these common designed to power your commercial and industrial heating equipment:

  • Flanged immersion heaters
  • Screw plug immersion heaters
  • Over-the-side immersion heaters

Heat oils, solvents, water, salts, gases, and other processing solutions up to 2,000 kilowatts or more.

Strip Heaters

Our strip heaters are available as channel, mineral-insulated, mica-insulated, ceramic-insulated, and finned.

Ceramic Band

Chromalox ceramic band heaters are used to heat large cylinders and are easy to install. They are also best suited for mid-temperature applications, and can handle temperatures between 1200 to 1400 degrees Fahrenheit. Hi-Watt offers one or two-piece ceramic band heater designs, and both designs come with a variety of clamp and termination options.

Thermowells

High-end thermowells allow a pressure-tight connection that protects your RTD and thermocouple sensors while immersed in solutions or exposed to other extreme conditions. Thermowells come in a few distinct types. Compare these common options to find the thermowell that fits your sensor requirements:

  • Welded flange well
  • Van Stone type
  • Socket weld type
  • Weld-in type
  • Bimetallic thermometer wells, threaded or flanged types

A thermowell allows a pressurized fit, but a sensor protection tube can be used as an affordable alternative if you don’t need this level of protection. For a low-maintenance alternative, consider metal or ceramic sensor protection tubes.

Quartz Infrared Heaters

One of the best heating elements available for rapid, uniform heating are quartz Infrared heaters. These high-energy heating elements use short-to-medium electromagnetic waves to immediately heat up your particular application. These heaters are capable of producing 1,400 to 1,600 degrees Fahrenheit in seconds. Select between a twin element, single element, contour element or ring element design to efficiently heat any commercial location or manufacturing application.

RTD Sensors

RTD sensors offer accurate, repeatable and interchangeable temperature measurements between -328 and 1,202 degrees Fahrenheit. Consider the following options when deciding which RTD sensor will work best for your needs:

  • Mini and standard plugs
  • Tubes and wires
  • Connection heads
  • Metal transitions with spring strain relief

Whether you need thermistor sensors , sensors with included connection heads or general RTD sensors, you’ll find the exact temperature measuring devices that perform in industrial and commercial situations at Hi-Watt.

Cartridge Heaters

A cartridge heater, also known as insertion heater or rod heater, provide efficient heat transfer, vibration resistance and corrosion resistance. A typical cartridge heater offers temperature support of up to 1,400 degrees Fahrenheit for an Incoloy sheath, 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit for a stainless steel sheath and 550 degrees Celsius for a high-temperature lead wire. Choose the type that offers the heating power you need.

Temperature Controls

For critical temperature control, HI-Watt offers user-friendly single and dual-channel controllers from Chromalox. Advanced units feature large, dual 4-digit displays, PID control for heating and/or cooling, fuzzy logic control, dual output/dual alarm protection, NEMA 4X front panels, ramp/soak programming, and more.
