Description

Hi-Watt offers Watlow FIREROD® cartridge heaters in multiple diameters, including 1/8”, 1/4”, 1/2, 3/4”, 5/8”, and 1”. These heaters are built with premium materials and provide superior heat transfer, uniformity, and oxidation resistance in compact, precision applications, including mold die and platen heating, test sample heating, and high-temperature glass forming. They can even replace large screw-plug immersion heaters to save space.

To ensure optimal performance of your FIREROD® cartridge heater, follow these best practices:

  • Never place this heater in the main body of the liquid or in a restricted space
  • Keep the heater covered in the liquid it’s heating
  • Do not cycle this heater on and off frequently
  • Control scale build-up
  • Keep watt densities low when heating viscous liquids
