The accurate RTD sensor operates on the principle that metal’s electrical resistance will change in response to temperature. We offer the resistance temperature detectors that sense temperature with a high degree of accuracy, repeatability and interchangeability.
An RTD element can be a wire-wound or thin film type. The wire or film is located on a ceramic or glass core. The elements of these industrial temperature sensors are then sealed within protective capsules of ceramic or glass.
A resistance temperature detector receives an excitation current across the element, and then the voltage is measured. This measurement is calculated as a temperature calibration. The broad range RTD temperature is normally -200° to 650°C (-328° to 1202°F). Platinum resistance elements are designed to supply precise and repeatable temperature.
